DAVID MACKENZIE
OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
David makes up 50% of Coasting Created, and fills the role of Operations Director.
What does his day-to-day look like? It changes a lot, but here's where he spends the bulk of his time:
David keeps the business rolling smoothly - from crafting proposals, managing invoices, and covering all things "client experience," all the way through to developing strategies, responding to emails, and managing the many apps & tools we use.
David works hard to ensure that every process feels clear, every strategy is intentional, and every meeting has an agenda. He keeps us on-task & on-time, and keeps our clients feeling comfortable & confident throughout the whole process!
On the more 'creative' side, David does the bulk of our email marketing, edits 95% of our YouTube/video content, and writes almost every caption you read!
He drinks his coffee black, is really into cool desk/productive setups, OH - and he writes music sometimes! Just search 'David MacKenzie' wherever you listen.
KATE CARRUTHERS
Creative director
Kate makes up the other half of Coasting Created, and fills the role of Creative Director.
What does that mean exactly? Thanks so much for asking! 🤙🏻
In her role, she oversees everything visual - if it looks amazing, it's safe to say the credit likely goes to Kate. An expert in all things branding, she works hard to draw out the very best in every project.
Capturing the unique perspective & identity of each brand we partner with, she carefully crafts a strategic direction, develops high quality content, and ensures that, throughout every step of the execution, the client–& more importantly, the customer–have everything they need to take action!
Kate takes cream in her coffee, is way too entertained by way-finding signs, and once worked as a Halloween consultant at Value Village - a skill that comes in handy in our frequent creative project shopping expeditions!

Are you taking on new clients?
We are taking on clients! We offer both monthly service packages, as well as one-off content creation packages (photography, ad design, Reel editing). And, of course, brand design & other graphic design project packages are always available! Looking for help with your own brand's content? Let's chat!
Do you work with clients outside of Moncton / NB?
We work with clients from all over Canada! We currently have clients on both coasts, and we plan to keep it that way. Most of what we do is online; meaning we don't ever need to be in the same room! And for the projects that we DO need to be in one place for, the Coasting crew is always up for a good road trip. Let's make it happen!
What are your core services?
Our favourite projects to work on are branding & logo designs, or anything social media related. But no two clients are the same, so we try to accommodate and offer additional support across a range of services, including email newsletters & ad campaigns, website design, photography & videography, and even podcast/video production!
I can't afford a monthly contract. Can I hire Coasting for a one-off project?
Of course! Many of our branding clients are one-off interactions. With social media, we offer strategy sessions and content production, or can even create post templates in your preferred design tool that you can use again and again in your own content creation. If you have something in mind, shoot us a message and let's chat about it!
Brand development.
Your brand is the engine that drives your business forward. Our brand design services will help you develop a brand identity that's as unique as you are and attracts your ideal audience to become regular customers.
Website design.
Your business needs a place to exist online. Social media is great for your brand, but a website is your own corner of the online world. Like returning home after a trip, your website is your own place to return back to.
